NNormal has launched its first Alpine Capsule, a four-piece collection expanding the brand from trail running into alpine activities. The capsule comprises the Storen Mig Insulation Jacket (€350), Alpine All Mountain Pants (€160), Tech Hoodie (€160) and Merino Long Sleeve (€90); NNormal was founded by Camper and Kilian Jornet in 2022 and says trail running remains its primary focus while the capsule targets mountaineering, climbing and ski touring.
Development used early prototypes worn by Kilian Jornet during Alpine Connections and States of Elevation and the pieces were tested in Norway. The Storen features 100g PrimaLoft Gold insulation, a Pertex Diamond Fuse shell, a helmet-compatible hood, two-way AquaGuard zip and interior pockets; the pants use abrasion-resistant fabric with DWR, shaped knees, tapered lower legs and adjustable hems; the Tech Hoodie is a hybrid technical midlayer and the Merino Long Sleeve is 100% merino; NNormal says materials selection, PrimaLoft’s P.U.R.E. process and recycled insulation content are intended to improve durability and reduce emissions.
