Our Trail Teams bring trail runners from around the world together.
There’s nothing like being around someone who gets you. Our teams are built to go on the occasional run, the occasional non-run meet up, and to find local runners who will cheer each other on.
What is an Industry Trail Team?
It’s the gathering of trail runners from around the world. We do three simple things.
Run Meetups - Four team runs/year. These runs are not about speed, distance, or gain. It’s about the miles + hang.
Non-Run Meetups - Occassional non-run meet ups. There are something’s that are only possible on a trail and others that are only possible at a dinner or drinks.
Stay connected - Every runner has running goals. The banter of trail runners is invaluable. Sometimes it helps us to impress our group, sometimes it keeps us accountable, and sometimes it inspires us in our own running.
Trail Team Captains
Before we can start a new trail team, we first need captains or co-captains. Captains do three things.
Coordinate 4 runs per year.
Coordinate the occasional social non-run meet up. Yes, occasional. Running is top priority, but if you can swing it, meeting up off the trail road is worth it.
Facilitate the group discussion, model encouragement and curiosity. Keep the discussion alive. If doesn’t have happen naturally, pop in with the occasional question or comment to wake every one up.

Methodology.
The winning team is the one who is highest on both vert and distance. Just becuase you have the most vert, doesn’t mean you will win. And just becuase you have the most miles doesn’t mean you’ll win.
This methodology ideally requires that both distance and vert partners go big. One can’t carry the other.
For example
Team 1 - 1,000’ vert / 18 miles
Team 2 - 1,100’ vert / 15 miles
Team 3 - 900’ vert / 14 miles
