Nils Arend | The Birth of The Speed Project

Nils Arend didn’t really ‘found’ The Speed Project as much as he received it.

It’s a foot race from two iconic points – LA to LV, Chamonix to Marseille, across the Atacama Desert – where runners and adventures push their limits and tell stories about it.

Nils had an idea to run from Los Angeles to Las Vegas in what he might describe as an existential moment in his life. After doing it, many runners began to join him somewhat organically and an organization was born.

But its not your typical organization.

It’s a group of people who understand the human spirit and see that crazy ambitious running goals align with our search for meaning.
