I’m inspired by the San Antonio run scene for its clear love of running, eachother, and its community. I grew up in Texas. I can explain the Texas mindset (another time) and believe Texas and France have more in common than Texas and the United States.
There’s an attitude that leads to some Texas cities coming together in a special way. San Antonio proved to be an elite running town. I’m not referring to how fast or far they run, but their heart. They run hard, they seek to do good in their community, and they welcomed the hell out of tens of thousands of strangers at The Running Event.
I’m thankful Santi and Southwest Elixirs hosted our event announceing our new partnership with KIPRUN.
France gave us Salomon and Hoka. I believe KIPRUN is the next great running brand coming out of France. KIPRUN’s 2026 vision and product line are compelling and generated a lot of buzz at TRE 2025. Yes, they are a partner of Borderlands’.
We have two criteria for partnerships and we will compromise on neither. We must love the product and we must love the people behind the product. I genuinely believe in KIPRUN. 2026 will be a huge year for them and us.
