First Impressions

Somehow, despite clearly listed dimensions on the website, I had imagined something a bit bigger. Field Test: 30-Mile Training Run
This past Sunday, I packed it for 30-mile training run. I packed it as if I were heading to an actual event: nutrition, hydration, headlamp, layers, extra socks, towel, shoes, and other essentials.
Everything fit— and stayed organized.
The internal layout is super well thought-out:

The exterior is made from a durable, water-resistant material—a must when your bag is getting hauled through mountains, tossed around by volunteers, or exposed to unpredictable weather. They also make some really nice 5L dry bags that fit nicely into the Crew Drop One to give full rain protection for certain items. It has multiple grab handles and a shoulder strap, giving you or your crew flexible carry options, especially for remote aid stations that require a hike in.
Final Thoughts
I’m seriously impressed. The Silo Crew Drop One is going to be a staple in my gear lineup—not just for crew-supported races, but also as my drop bags for the Tahoe 200 this June.The smaller overall footprint makes it perfect for travel and weekend getaways, too.My plan is to pre-pack these bags and use them like packing cubes, stacking them into a larger suitcase for easy airport travel.
