Ideally the brand ‘shows’ this kind of content it rather than me ‘telling’.
Great brands know how to seed language into their audiences. And sometimes. no matter the noble brand intentions, audiences still read something completely different.
In the end, Borderlands is what you say it is, not what I say it is.
I put this here for those who (a) enjoy seeing this sort of content and (b) to show you what I am aspiring to at Borderlands.
Vision
Vision is seasonal and numerical in nature. It is objective. I will know for certain whether or not Borderlands has achieved this simply by the numbers I choose to measure it.
2025 Vision: 10x the Podcast
June 2025 update: The podcast grew by 3x in 6 months.
It’s a heavy lift but we are retooling in the month of July to reposition the podcast to make way for the necessary growth to hit the 2025 vision target.
Why 10x the podcast? We’ve got a ton going on around here, but the podcast is the most out front content we release and it serves as a proxy metric for overall Borderlands growth.
If the podcast is growing, I believe everything will follow suit. If something do follow and others don’t, that causes me to put those on the chopping block or at least retool them the join in the podcast growth.
Look for a major update in August 2025 to the podcast repositioning as a network rather than one channel. Much more to come.
