Mount to Coast has released the M1 long-distance mountain running shoe on August 11, 2026; the model is available now on MounttoCoast.com and at select US, EU, and Asian retailers, with broader availability scheduled for September. Early versions of the M1 were used on course by Canyon Woodward, who finished in the top ten at the 2026 Western States 100, and by Kilian Korth and Cody Poskin during the opening miles of the 2026 Cocodona 250.
The M1 is a high-cushion, high-stack design that uses a new JETCELL midsole material, which Mount to Coast says is more resilient than other foams, and pairs a Vibram outsole with a durable protective upper, a wider footprint, higher sidewalls, a TUNEDFIT dual lacing system, and a wide toe box; specifications list a weight of 9.7 ounces per pair (US M9), 38mm heel / 34mm forefoot stack, 4mm drop, 4mm lug depth, three colors (Moss, Glacier, Oatmeal), and a $195 retail price.
