World Championships – Day 1 (Sept 24, 2025)

The World Championships open today in Canfranc, Spain. All local times are listed first (Central European Summer Time – CEST / UTC+2), with Eastern Time (ET) equivalents in parentheses for U.S. readers.

• 12:00 PM CEST (6:00 AM ET) – Press Conference: Official presentation of the World Championships

• 7:00 PM CEST (1:00 PM ET) – Opening Ceremony (open to the public, held at the Championships’ ceremony venue next to the north wing of the old International Railway Station building)

• 8:00 PM CEST (2:00 PM ET) – Concert by Hot & Roll

Update: Spain’s Minister of Sports, Pilar Alegría, will not attend the Opening Ceremony. Instead, Secretary of State for Sports José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes will represent the government.
